How we stay free.
Students never pay. There is no trial, no locked lesson, no upgrade prompt anywhere in the app. Here is exactly where the money comes from.
Foundations that fund education.
Most of our budget comes from foundation grants written for projects that help teenagers do work that grades cannot capture. We publish an annual report so anyone can see how much came from where.
Companies that want to see real work.
Sponsors get access to the public proof pages of students who opt in. That is the whole deal. Sponsors do not see private data, do not get to message students, and do not shape what quests exist.
Districts pay for a school dashboard.
Schools can license a dashboard that shows their students’ active quests and verified service hours. That fee funds the platform. Students at those schools do not pay a cent, and neither does the student across the country doing the same quest alone.
Peer guides earn hours, not money.
A guide finishes a quest, then volunteers to help other students through the same one. In exchange, they earn verifiable service hours that a school counsellor can confirm. This is why the model works at scale.
If any of this ever changes, we tell you before it does.
